Mina Nicole Starsiak is an American national who was born on November 26, 1987, in Indianapolis, Indiana, under the sign of the Sagittarius. TV personality Mina is perhaps best known for co-starring with her mother in the reality series “Good Bones.”
Childhood and education
Her parents, Casey and Karen Laine raised Mina and her seven siblings in Indianapolis. Her parents attempted to patch things up after their divorce when she was still a teenager by getting remarried, but that second union also ended in divorce.
Karen eventually married Randy after her first two marriages ended in divorce, but after she gave birth to their daughter Kelsy, they also split up. Career as a businesswoman and TV personality
When Mina signed her first contract for a home renovation in 2007, she officially started her career. She and her mother established Two Chicks and a Hammer, a real estate company, following a number of renovations.
When the company was established, Mina had been working as a waitress for a while and lacked any training or experience in remodeling.
An HGTV casting director invited Mina to be a part of her own show in 2015. “Good Bones” debuted on HGTV on March 22, 2016, and starred Mina and her mother. Mina had already renovated more than 20 homes when the HGTV call came in, but she assumed it was a prank even though she had renovated more than 20 homes before getting the HGTV call, she initially thought it was a joke. Nevertheless, her mother persuaded her to give it a try.
The show has four seasons and 52 episodes so far, and it follows the two as they revitalize Indianapolis by focusing on one property at a time. They buy houses in poor condition and then ‘flip’ them into stunning urban houses, primarily in the Fountain Square and Bates-Hendricks neighborhoods.

Mina and Stephen Hawk met shortly after she began starring in “Good Bones” – they dated for only a few months before marrying in June 2016; Stephen proposed to Mina while they were on the Indianapolis Colts football training field, and she said ‘yes’ – their wedding was an unusual one, as Mina and Stephen served 400 donuts to their guests instead of a cake.
Mina gave birth to their first child, Jack, in August 2018, and she frequently posts photos of the family on social media. Mina and Stephen have also recently adopted a little girl named Jessica, and the family of four is currently residing at their home in Indianapolis, actually living next door to Mina’s mother Karen.
Stephen is an actor who has appeared in a number of films and television shows, mostly in supporting roles. Mina admitted that their first date was a flop because he didn’t pay attention to her the entire time.
