She was born as the daughter of James H Him Brown and Dale Campbell. She was raised as Roman Catholic along with two sisters. Campbell was admitted to Trinity Episcopal Day School, and her family was involved in politics, hunting, and cooking. She was naughty as a kid and also got expelled once from Maderia School for bunking off to attend the party. Brown then attended the Louisiana State of University for a couple of years. And finally, her education finished after her graduation from Regis University. Brown spent a year teaching English in Chechoslovakia.
